Dusk Maiden of Amnesia is best described as a poignant love story between a boy and a ghost, sprinkled liberally with comedy and horror elements. I didn’t know horror, comedy and romance could mingle coherently together, but this anime does it spectacularly well.

At the end of the manga, Yuuko takes Teiichi to another part of the old school building, where she comes out to him wearing a wedding dress. Wanting the two of them to do something together and being as he is the only person to see her (besides Kirie), Yuuko confesses that she wants to be with Teiichi forever.
