During series two, Mac discovers that he has cancer and only has a few months to live. He takes a month off work but returns to find Guy and Caroline engaged. Guy then allows Caroline to marry Mac, who she truly loves, and the series ends with their wedding.
Was Green Wing filmed in a real hospital?
The filming was done at two hospitals, the Northwick Park Hospital in Middlesex and the North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke. This presented a problem because the show had to work around the real-life hospitals, with their actual doctors, patients and emergency situations.
