Because it wasn’t good. It had all the self importance of the West Wing (one of my favorite shows) without any of the gravitas. The scene in season one where a man stands on a plane and solemnly “gives the news” was a good example of this — the plot and characters didn’t have the necessary mass to hold Sorkin’s dialog.
